BILL PLEWS – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Bill started E.K.F. in 1992 having spent all his working life in Catering Wholesale. A hands on M.D. He regularly speaks to all our clients and his knowledge of products and where to source products is second to none.

Bill with the help of our dedicated staff has built E.K.F. to the successful Business it is today which is still growing at an incredible pace.

Away from work Bill is a keen sportsman having played Rugby for Snowdown RFC before playing semi professional football for 15 years for various local clubs. Now that his legs have packed up, he is a keen golfer, but his great love is Horse Racing and can be found every year at the Cheltenham Festival

TINA PLEWS – COMPANY SECRETARY

Tina has been working within the company for 13 years in various different capacities assisting Bill and trying to lighten the load, Pre children Tina worked within the hotel industry working for two international companies bringing with her, high standards of customer care and attention to detail. Tina runs the administration side of the business.

Tina & Bill have been married for 24 years and have 4 children. Their oldest son Billy works within the Business and their youngest Son Tom regularly works for us in the school holidays and is keen to join us after he leaves school.

In her spare time Tina can be regularly found watching one of their children playing Rugby or Football, and likes to visit Cities.

ANDREW BOWERS GENERAL MANAGER

Andy has worked with Bill for 29 years and has been with E.K.F. since its birth. Like all our staff Andy is very hands on and is very much the man in charge of Operations behind the scenes. A very hard working and reliable member of staff his knowledge of the industry is exceptional. Andy is our right hand man and runs the ship smoothly in our absence.

Andy has been married to Lisa for 23 years and has 3 boys. Andy and his boys are all keen Rugby players being members of Whitstable RFC. Andy also has a keen eye for the birds, the feathered type of course and is a very knowledgeable ornithologist (twitcher) and when out on a round his binoculars are never far away.

MICK UNSWORTH SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Mick came to us with a wealth of experience after working 28 years in Sales for Nestle. After leaving Nestle Mick thought he’d take things a bit easier and worked as a part time Driver, that position soon became full time and when the position of Sales Rep became available Mick was the perfect choice.

Mick has been married to Jude for 36 years and have three grown up children and 4 grandchildren. He is a keen gardener.

DAVE DAVIES DRIVER/WAREHOUSEMAN

Dave has been with us for 5 years and has become an integral part of the team his commitment and hard work is commendable.

A favourite member of staff with our customers, nothing is too much trouble.

Dave has been married to Anne for 8 years and is a doting grandad. He and Anne are keen motorcycle racing enthusiasts and members of Bemsee and are often marshalling at race meets. He is also one of the fittest chaps we know.

SHAUN BRICE DRIVER/WAREHOUSEMAN

Sean has been with us for 13 years and is a conscientious member of staff; he is frequently referred to as the joker of the team and is thought of as good fun by our customers.

A keen cricketer, he supports Arsenal F.C. and has two daughters.

GLYN STONE DRIVER/WAREHOUSEMAN

Glyn joined us in May after 18 years with Pfizer and is already proving to be a popular member of the team.

Born & bred in Deal he played rugby for Bettshanger for a number of years when he was younger, but once a sportsman always a sportsman and these days Glyn enjoys playing golf with wife Wendy of 23 years and their daughter when not out walking their two dogs.

TOM PLEWS OFFICE CLARK/WAREHOUSEMAN

Tom is Bill & Tina's youngest son, he has been involved in the Business since he was 14 helping out in School Holidays.

He is now studying an Advanced Business Course at College and working in the Business part time.

In his spare time Tom is a keen sportsman with a natural ability, he played Rugby and Football from the age of 6 choosing to stick with Football as he got older, he has represented his school, Dover District School Boys and Kent participating and winning a Tournament in Florida when he was 13.

SCOTT STEVENS DRIVER/WAREHOUSEMAN

Scott is our newest member of staff, and is already proving to be a hit with customers.

He has a pleasant, friendly nature and is always Helpful.

Scott is married to Dawn and they have 4 children, he is a keen gardener and enjoys music and films.
